Where is the LA SummerFEST? The event is held at the Rivendale Park & Open Space in Towsley Canyon at 24255 The Old Road, Santa Clarita 91321. There are discrepancies in the address, depending on the map search engine used. If you type in Towsley Canyon Park, you will get there. Though Google maps is now listing Rivendale Park & Open Space.
Will there be food available? YES ~ there will be food trucks, beer and wine at the LatinFEST, the Americana FOLKFEST, the REN~Faire, and the BLUESFEST. Food trucks will also be a select other performances. Purchasing from our vendors helps support the festival ~ There will be food trucks, beer & wine at other events during the festival, check the individual dates for further information. Of course, you may bring a picnic as well.
What is the seating like? The festival is presented in an open space park ~ there is no seating. Please bring a chair or a blanket.
Can I bring my dog? Service Dogs are permitted, however, in general, dogs are discouraged. The event is open seating with chairs and blankets, and can be a little tight at times. With food, children, picnic type seating, performances, and occasionally a wild animal, some dogs can be disruptive to other patrons. There is no water at the park, and it can hot in the summer. Also the park is an open natural space, there is no park maintenance to clean after animals.
Is this a City event? The LA SummerFEST is presented by the Santa Clarita Shakespeare Festival: an independent, non-profit community benefit organization. The SummerFEST is an expansion of the Shakespeare in the Park series, one of the oldest free community events in the city. The City of Santa Clarita is very supportive of the festival, allowing us to use the Rivendale site, and we greatly appreciate their ongoing support.
Where is Rivendale? The Rivendale site is located in Towsely Canyon Park off the Old Road, next to the 5 freeway (Calgrove Exit). It is a beautiful natural environment, and the former home to the Rivendale Equestrian center. There are discussions and plans for improving the site, and possibly including an ampitheatre. I see there is a REN-Faire, Is it appropriate from my family? YES YES YES! The LA SummerFEST is a family festival. Our REN-Faire is a celebration of the opening of Shakespeare in the Park.
How much does the festival cost? The LA SummerFEST is FREE and open to the public. We are dedicated to presenting an eclectic cultural festival for everyone to enjoy. Tickets are required for special events (to help support the festival). To purchase tickets, click on the event and follow the links.
I run a business locally, can I sponsor the festival? YES ~ sponsorships help us grow the festival and keep it free for everyone. There are many opportunities for you to support the festival, and get your name our in front of thousands of patrons. You can sponsor a performance, a series of events or the entire festival. Or you can take out an ad in our LASF Magazine. Check out the Support/Sponsor tab on the menu.

I had a great time, can I donate to the festival? YES – Thank you! Donations are gladly accepted. Though the event is free ~ it does cost thousands of dollars each summer to present. Our goal is to host a great event for family and friends that is free and open to EVERYONE. If you would like to support us an make a donation , we make it easy for you in a number of ways: We will be passing the hat at the performances, there will be an address listed in the program for donations, or you can make a donation on the website under the Support/Sponsor tab.
